It is a common misconception that green cleaning products are more expensive than traditional ones. It’s possible that this rumor came from the outrageous price differential of organic groceries vs. non-organic, it is simply not true when regarding cleaning products. While, of course, some eco-friendly products might run a little high in price range, they are the exception rather than the rule.

When cleaning your place on your own (but don’t forget our residential cleaning services!), you can also save money by simply using products that are already in your home. From vinegar to lemon juice, there are lot of life hacks to use to clean while not polluting the air.

Stay Healthy

Traditional cleaning products pose a serious health concern regarding you, your family, and even your pets. When spraying cleaning products made of toxins, chemicals, and who knows what, your kitchen counters might be clean, but the air you breathe in is not.

There is a reason that pregnant women, children, and pets aren’t allowed to be around traditional cleaning supplies — they’re toxic! Ammonia, chlorine, perchloroethylene, phthalates, and many other words nearly impossible to pronounce. Not only that, but there are many ingredients not listed. As a consumer, apparently you don’t even get to know.

Compare that with some ingredients listed on green cleaning products. Likely you’ll see common household items such as white vinegar, lemon juice, baking soda, etc. So what it really comes down to is, what air do you want to breathe in? Green products clean just as well as the harmful, toxic traditional cleaners, so why not go with the safer, more honest option?

One of the main reasons we decided to have our cleaning services green is because of our concern about the long-term environmental effects on this beautiful planet we call home. Especially in New York, it might seem like we’re digging a tunnel with a spoon when it comes to battling air pollution; but we firmly believe that each individual and each company has the ability to help, even in small doses, keep earth healthy.

If we all do our part, we firmly believe that we can initiate change. Instead of polluting our air and water just to have a shiny toilet doesn’t quite seem like a fair trade-off, does it? After all, natural, eco-friendly products do the same job! To us, the decision was easy.
